Paul Gottfried, Ph.D., is the editor-in-chief of Chronicles magazine.
A Guggenheim recipient and formerly the Raffensperger Professor Emeritus of Humanities at Elizabethtown College (Pennsylvania) for many years, Dr. Gottfried is the author of many articles and 13 books including:

Paul Gottfried serves as board chairman of the San Francisco Review of Books. For 15 years he served as president of the H.L. Mencken Club, an organization he founded in 2008.
