William
S. Lind
William S. Lind is a military historian theorist, a former defense
specialist on Capitol Hill, and a long time associate of conservative
leader Paul Weyrich. He is also a pundit on cultural conservatism.
Mr. Lind has a Bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College and a Master's
degree in history from Princeton University.
Lind formerly was director of the Center for Cultural Conservatism
at the Free Congress Foundation. The author of many books and articles
on military strategy and war, he first expounded the theories of Fourth
Generation warfare in an
article in the Marine Corps Gazette in 1989. He writes for many
publications, including The
American Conservative magazine.
